post-mortem: levi's one to watch

My recollections of the two Levi's OnestoWatch 5 night revues earlier this week veer from the hazy to the crystalline. Both events were heavily subscribed. Violens were undeservedly on first on Tuesday, their shimmering pop went down a treat. Crystal Fighters pulled out all the stops, whipping the crowd up into a melée that saw assorted Hoxton luminaries lose their shit. Not literally, the day after Clock Opera continued to cement their reputation as White Noise made its way into the record emporiums. Wolf Gang impressed sonically, though it was difficult to enjoy as a spectacle once my brain had decided that Max McEligot bore a striking resemblance to Aussie try-hard tennis legend, Lleyton Hewitt. Marina and The Diamonds looked every inch the star in the making, my guess is that she's holding back that killer tune for 2010. Final night of the revue tonight at Cargo. Free Fridays. Alex Metric.
